W enjoys the day he gets his hair cut and it is an event he looks forward to every three weeks or so. I am not so sure it is all about the hair cutting part as it is about the whole experience. The haircut has evolved into much more and since he is a child who loves routine he likes it the same way each time.
It all begins with Papaw making plans to take him to his barber. He comes to pick him up and W has lunch on his mind. If it is up to him, W picks a cheeseburger and fries from a local place a few blocks from home... even though there are a plethora of choices in the town where the barber lives. After going to his place to eat this big ole grown-up size lunch, they are ready to go see the barber.
Here he is waiting for Papaw outside.
He apparently does really well for the barber every time he gets his hair cut and gets a piece of bubble gum. He usually asks for two extra pieces for his sisters.
After getting back from the haircut trip, he spends the afternoon with Papaw at his house. They do all kinds of stuff that W enjoys and he ends up staying until D picks him up after work.
I took this picture at the end of the day and it looks like he enjoyed his big haircut day .... as usual!
